We are working in partnership with Tree Nation to plant an additional 20,000 trees in our very own Palmer's Forest in Cameroon, Africa.
Our aim is to plant up to 20,000 trees to help reforest and protect our planet from CO2 emissions.

By planting these additional 20,000 trees in Cameroon, it will take our total to 44,000 trees in the Palmer's Forest. This addition means the forest will offset over 20,000 tonnes of CO2 during its lifespan, that is the equivalent to 12,685 flights from London (LHR) to New York (JFK).

The Palmer's Forest will offset approximately the CO2 equivalent of producing 115 million 250ml/8.5 oz Palmer's bottles of lotion*

*based on 8.5oz/250ml Palmer's bottle.
Why Cameroon?

Cameroon is one of the top largest producers of cocoa butter in the world.

Cocoa butter is the main natural ingredient used in many of our products, in fact we use over 300 million cocoa beans a year which equates to over 200 tonnes of cocoa butter.

Through the planting of our Forest, we are also helping local cocoa farmers grow higher quality cocoa beans while improving their land and livelihoods. Also enhancing gender empowerment, through engaging more women and youth employment, allowing families to afford education, healthcare and food supply.
What will be planted in the Palmer's Forest?

Ricinodendron Heudelotii

It has a good potential for use as a pioneer species. Products from the tree, especially the seeds, are sold in local markets, and the seeds are sometimes exported to Europe. The tree is planted as a roadside tree in parts of Africa. It’s a multipurpose tree, providing food, medicines and a wide range of commodities to the local population.

Lysiloma Latisiliquum

Lysiloma latisiliquum is a versatile tree that grows up to 20 meters tall. It can adapt to various soil types and is native to Mexico, Florida, and Cuba. The wood of this tree is highly durable and used for construction and furniture. It also benefits ecosystems by attracting bees, fixing nitrogen, and enriching soil. It is commonly planted in parks and coastal areas for shade.

Senna Siamea

This tree is grown to provide shade in cocoa and coffee plantations. It’s used as a source of food, medicine, fuel and it has environmental uses and the young fruits and leaves can be eaten as a vegetable. Senna siamea has been introduced and grown for timber, fuel wood or for ornamental value. The wood is medium-weight to heavy, hard to very hard, resistant to termites, strong and durable; it’s used for cabinet making, inlaying, handles, sticks and other decorative uses; being also used for poles, posts and bridges.
